Plants that arrived in excellent condition and quickly... I was afraid that the rain and lack of sunshine would prevent them from establishing, but even with these climate conditions, everything has grown back. It's so nice to have varieties that bring a touch of lightness to the garden, even in clay soil!

Description

The Molinia caerulea 'Heidebraut', also known as molinie, is a tall grass with a flexible habit, capable of growing in heavy and moist soils.

This beautiful grass with a flexible habit has large deciduous foliage, tender green in color, reaching 1 meter (3 feet) in height and turning yellow-orange in late summer. The flower spikes, initially green-brown and then silver-white, are highly valued for their lightness and transparent effect. Also known for its tussocky stump, the Molinia 'Heidebraut' grows in dense clumps and does not invade the soil by spreading everywhere in the garden.

Easy to grow, it thrives in all types of fresh, heavy, and rich soil, in full sun or partial shade. Pair it with 'Night Embers' daylilies, marsh woundwort, or 'Blackfield' mountain fleeceflower.
