This shoot recovered immediately from the journey, it was well packed and moist. It is growing well in my very damp and clayey garden. The slugs seem to prefer the cardboard frills that protected it.

Description

Lythrum virgatum 'Dropmore Purple' is a perennial plant with an upright habit. Its woody branches bear narrow, willow-like leaves. From summer to autumn, it produces long spikes of vibrant purple-pink flowers.
