Description
Epimedium grandiflorum, also known as "Fairy Flowers", is a perennial groundcover for shade with small pale lilac-pink flowers resembling mini-orchids. In April/May, each flowering stem produces up to ten flowers.
Epimedium also has the advantage of remaining decorative for several seasons. After flowering, a second, larger foliage develops. The leaves often have lovely coppery speckles, especially visible in spring.
It will quickly spread and the foliage is dense enough to make a superb and effective ground cover.

Planting and care
Plant in shade or partial shade in cool, moist soil, preferably acidic. These plants are very easy to grow and do not have any specific requirements. Just make sure to water them regularly for the first six weeks to aid establishment.
