Despite the care given to the young plant (dried blood/roasted horn) in its bucket, it withered. No vegetation in winter, I wasn't too worried, until recently, seeing all my other plantings (re)grow. I eventually wanted to check & there: just soil in the place of the bucket, no roots...! It wouldn't have been able to grow :( Well. The bucketed plant wasn't particularly expensive, and I am generally satisfied with my purchases on this site. It's a shame...

Planting and care

The perennial Geranium phaeum Lily Lovell should be planted from September to April in a fertile and well-drained soil preferably in the sun. Space it 30cm (12in) apart in all directions. Carefully weed while the plant occupies the entire space. Mulch in summer to keep the soil cool. Divide the clumps every 5 years after flowering to rejuvenate and propagate them. Cut back the faded stems in late summer to promote a second flowering.
