Heuchera hybrida Apple Crisp

The 'Apple Crisp' Heuchera is a very pretty variety of Heuchera, both in appearance and colour. The plant forms a small rounded and compact clump, composed of leaves with very frizzy edges of a lovely icy emerald green: its veined leaves are marbled with white and silver reflections. It is adorned in early summer with thin stems carrying a creamy white and delicate flowering. It is a sturdy variety, with a clean appearance all year round, to be planted in partial shade or in the morning sun. A unique Heuchera to cultivate in the garden or in a pot.

The 'Apple Crisp' Heuchera belongs to the Saxifragaceae family. It is a horticultural hybrid, with a compact and rounded habit, reaching 30 cm (12in) in height (for the foliage) and about 45 cm (18in) in width in 4 to 5 years. Its evergreen foliage in winter is the major asset of this plant: its emerald or apple green leaves with very frizzy edges, whose veins are beautifully highlighted by their silvery reflections, marbled with white. The light and airy flowering takes place in May and June. The flowers, initially cream white at blooming and then becoming white, are arranged along an upright stem. This plant has a shallow root system.

Make room for the 'Apple Crisp' Heuchera on the terrace, balcony, and in the garden. Plant it in the ground in a border or in a shady rockery, not too dry. For example, associate it with a purple Heuchera. Grasses and ferns will bring a wild and romantic touch. It will also be a good companion for small bushes and bedding roses, planted at their base.
