A wonderful discovery. Planted last year in a very large and deep wooden container, the nine young plants (I bought the collection in triplicate) quickly developed and, in their second year, spread 30% more than the space I had initially allotted to them. (This spring, I collected about twenty seedlings to plant in the ground and share with friends). This year, the already well-developed foliage suggests a flowering just as beautiful as last year. We'll have to wait a little longer, but it's worth it—since the blooms will last until late autumn when flowers become scarce in the garden. They require minimal effort to grow (just keeping their spreading in check) and, despite the delicate appearance of their tall stems and petals, they withstand autumn weather quite well.
