The Leborgne 3.7kg Splitting Maul with Novagrip Handle is a sturdy and highly effective tool for splitting wood. Safety tips:

The main risk with these tools is the projection of metal splinters, either from the tool itself or from the object being struck. The splinter can be due to a metallurgical defect, simple aging of the tool, or improper use. The user must protect their eyes and body from the risk of projections and splinters. They must wear safety glasses and appropriate clothing. The striking surfaces of the mauls and splitting mauls have undergone heat treatment that gives them good resistance to shocks, but it is absolutely forbidden to strike two hard striking surfaces against each other: the risk of splintering is real and serious. Never strike directly with a maul on the striking surface of the splitting maul.
