Detailed features

Directions for use This pruning knife resembles a pocket knife, with a bevelled blade and a curved tip that is particularly useful for grasping stems or peduncles to be cut. It is used for pruning perennial plants and bushes with young, green, flexible wood, as well as for picking flowers or fruits, such as grapes. It is also used to prepare stems for cuttings and to perform more extensive grafting techniques, such as whip and cleft grafting, on subjects with thick bark, such as fruit trees. In this case, the pruning knife is used to remove "grafting wood" and prepare deep insertions on the rootstock. Clean the blade with alcohol after use, as this helps prevent the transmission of diseases from one plant to another, and keeps your tool in good condition for a long time (the sap of certain plants can damage the blade or make it sticky over time). It is advisable to use a lubricating spray to clean and protect the blade from rust. Sharpen it at the first sign of weakness. Store this tool in a dry place, away from bad weather.
