Description
The 'Schneeküsschen' Rose, with its delicate small roses, carries its name admirably, which can be translated as 'snow kiss'. This adorable miniature rose introduced in 2016 is generous, particularly during its first flowering in late spring. Its dark green, glossy foliage is adorned with charming bouquets of semi-double corollas with pearly petals in a very pale pinkish-white shade, revealing a heart of golden yellow stamens at maturity. This very healthy rose can fit anywhere: in borders, in flower beds, in a small hedge, or even in a pot on the patio or balcony.
The miniature Rosa 'Schneeküßchen' or 'KORnemuta' flowers, gathered in small terminal clusters of 4 to 6 flowers, come from the polyantha rose, an old hybrid derived from Rosa multiflora and Rosa chinensis. It has a bushy, slightly spreading dome-shaped habit, as wide as it is tall. It will not exceed 40 cm (16in) in all directions. The small semi-double cups of 4-5 cm (2in), well-formed in rosettes, slightly fragrant, display a delicate pastel colour. Pale pink in buds and blooming, they open up, becoming almost white, fading over time, and revealing their yellow stamen-filled heart. They bloom in large numbers in pyramidal clusters in May-June, sporadically during the hottest months, and again in September. This vigorous and disease-resistant variety develops dark green, semi-evergreen, glossy foliage. Its stems bear thorns.

The 'Schneeküßchen' rose, robust, adapts to all soils that are not too dry and prefers fertile soils. Its compact, neat appearance is ideal for rockeries or slopes, where it will cover the ground. It can also be planted in groups of 3 plants, arranged in a triangle, or as a standalone feature on a lawn. Plant it en masse along pathways or to highlight shrub borders. It will integrate perfectly into beds of light or opulent perennials. For example, it can be associated with perennial geraniums (Geranium Blue Cloud, Anne Folkard, Nimbus, Orion, Rozanne), bellflowers (lactiflora, rapunculoides), catmints, snapdragons, foxgloves, or other carnations. It is naturally perfect for decorating the terrace or balcony, planted in a beautiful pot or planter.

Planting and care
Planting your rose requires some preparation. Begin by working the soil to a depth of 25 cubic cm and adding a base amendment like blood, fish, and bone to the bottom of the planting hole. Remove the plant from its pot and position it by covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil. Refill the hole and water generously to eliminate any air pockets. It's essential to water the rose regularly for a few weeks during dry weather to help the roots grow. Use a special rose fertiliser that stimulates plant flowering. Choose a sunny location or partial shade to plant your rose in hot regions.
Roses may develop unsightly spots at the end of summer, but this is a natural occurrence and doesn't harm the rose's growth.
