Rosa 'André Eve' - Modern Hybrid Tea Rose

The 'André Eve' Rose, a beautiful tribute by Michel Adam to one of the greatest rose perfumers, is a modern hybrid tea rose appreciated for its long, fragrant and brightly coloured flowering. Its large, double, radiant flowers, with a vivid colour mix of pink and apricot, bloom in a highly fragrant bouquet on an upright and disease-resistant bush. A generous, resilient and cheeky rose, perfect for adding colour and fragrance to flower beds, as well as to balconies or terraces, planted in a lovely container.

'André Eve' is a modern bush rose with large flowers obtained in 2002, not widely available in horticultural trade. It is part of Michel Adam's creations, based in Brittany, who breeds disease-resistant and often highly fragrant varieties. This sturdy, bushy and upright shrub, well-balanced, reaches about 70 cm (28in) in height and 50 cm (20in) in width at maturity, with rapid growth. It produces strong, spiny and well-branched stems, carrying elegant foliage, dark green, less susceptible to diseases. From late spring until early autumn, if faded flowers are removed, the plant produces large 12 cm (5in) diameter flowers, with a deep cup shape, typical of hybrid tea roses. They are highly doubled, composed of 26 to 40 petals with a soft pink colour on the periphery, turning into a warmer pink with an orange base towards the centre of the flower. They are solitary and borne on the ends of long shoots from the current year or emerging from 2-year-old stems. The flowering, recurrent, stands out with a pleasant and pronounced fragrance.

This 'André Eve' rose, with its warm colour and intense fragrance, does not go unnoticed in the garden. It deserves a place not far from the house, where it will look good on its own, for example in a group of 3 plants, as well as in a large pot on your terrace or balcony. Some light-flowering perennial plants (Autumn Asters, Foxgloves, Penstemons), as well as grasses and Nepetas, are ideal for enhancing its beauty and accompanying it late in the season. For example, pair it with Geranium 'Rozanne', Geranium 'Pink Cloud', Geranium grandiflorum, 'Panicum', Nepeta 'Walker's Low' and Campanulas.
