Rosa x floribunda 'Moin Moin' - Patio Rose

The Bush 'Moin Moin' is an excellent variety from the Patio Rose collection, combining floribundity, charm, and natural resistance to diseases. These qualities have made the reputation of the German rosarian Kordes. This small bush with graceful habit is adorned with beautiful dark green foliage, shiny and very healthy, which serves as a backdrop for bouquets of round and double roses, whose intense pink colour does not fade in the sun. The flowering, discreetly fragrant, renews continuously throughout the summer on this small bush that obtained the highly demanding German A.D.R label in 2015. A harmonious little rose is easy and very useful in the garden combined with perennial plants for decorating a flowerbed, bed, or border. Plant it in a pot to decorate the terrace or the balcony. 

The Rosa x floribunda 'Moin Moin' or 'Korfloci23' (synonym Pink Flower Circus) was introduced to the market by the rosarian Kordes Rosen in 2011. It is part of a series of roses, the 'Patio Rose' selected in partnership with 'Globe Planter' for their floribundity and excellent adaptation to pot culture. 'Moin Moin' has a well-branched, slightly spreading habit. This bush reaches about 60 cm (24in) in height and 50 cm (20in) in width. Its thorny stems bear dark green leaves, divided into five finely toothed leaflets, shiny and disease-resistant. Its flowering is long; it renews tirelessly from May to June to October if the soil remains moist. The deep pink buds, enclosed in green sepals, open into double cups measuring 5 to 6 cm (2in) in diameter, gathered in dense terminal clusters, and remarkable for their intense pink colour. They are slightly fragrant but beautiful due to their almost rounded cup shape. The deciduous foliage falls in autumn.

Floribunda roses create beautiful small hedges planted in a mix along the terrace, along a path or in small shrub beds. Combine them with abelias, Mexican orange blossoms, or bluebeards. They make good companions for phlox and hardy geraniums. This 'Moin Moin' variety will be enhanced when planted in groups of 3 specimens, forming a large, extremely colourful bush for months. It can be surrounded by catmints and perennial salvias with blue, purple, pink, mauve, or white flowers. It can also be combined with white ground cover roses (Swany, Marie Pavie...), gypsophila, or lavender. This hardy rose that requires little maintenance will thrive in full sun or partial shade. It will satisfy all gardeners, beginners or experienced.
