Thank you to the individuals (Ludivine for order preparation and A.D. from the shipping department), the received rose bush is healthy. Planted near the 'Variegated Gros Provins', 'Honorine de Brabant', and 'Crown Princess Margareta' varieties, I am now patiently waiting for the spring regrowth (or not)...

Description

This is a graceful old rose from the Bourbon series, named after the famous rose garden of Empress Josephine at Malmaison. The immense flowers, very full with a pale pink to silvery pink hue, emit a delightful fragrance. They open in a cup shape, then become flat and quartered as they bloom. Abundant and renewed flowering. Created by J. Béluze in 1843.

Planting and care

To plant your potted rose, work the soil to a depth of 25cm (9.8in) by crumbling the soil and adding a bottom layer of organic fertilizer such as dried blood or dehydrated horn. Place your plant, removed from its pot, and cover the top of the root ball with 3cm (1.2in) of soil. Fill in the hole, tamp down, and water generously to eliminate air pockets. In dry weather, regular watering is necessary for a few weeks to promote root growth. Don't forget to apply special rose fertilizer to stimulate flowering.

Rose bushes are often stained or unsightly at the end of summer, but this is not a problem for their development. These stains are not harmful to the rose bush, as it is a natural phenomenon.
