Description

The Deutzia hybrida 'Strawberry Fields' is a bushy shrub, notable for its raspberry pink flowers surrounded by a white edge, with a white centre. It is ideal for hedges and floral arrangements.

This Deutzia has a compact and upright habit that widens with age, reaching 2m (6 ft 7 in) in height and 1m (3 ft 4 in) in width. It is a spring shrub with dark green leaves on top and light green underneath. This variety offers abundant flowering with 10cm (3.9 in) long flowers, dark raspberry pink in colour with a white edge and white centre. Its flowering period is during the months of May and June.

The 'Strawberry Fields' Deutzia prefers rich and deep soils, and tolerates slightly chalky ones. Deutzia thrives in full sun or partial shade. It is recommended to prune the Deutzia after flowering to remove dead stems and floral branches.

The 'Strawberry Fields' hybrid Deutzia offers an interesting contrast when paired with evergreen shrubs or trimmed trees.
