This large plant label from La Cordeline, made of wood and slate in a rectangular shape with a wooden border, allows you to write the name of each plant in the garden, greenhouse or vegetable patch while adding a vintage decorative touch to the garden. It is an attractive and durable accessory that will quickly become essential for remembering and locating, but also for teaching children the names of flowers, bushes, fruits and vegetables, or sending a message to loved ones in a floral arrangement. The name of the plant, as well as any useful information, can be written on the slate using a chalk pen (not provided).
Seed packets, as well as printed ribbons and labels that are provided when purchasing plants, often deteriorate quickly under the combined action of sun and rain, with the names of the plants becoming quickly illegible. On the other hand, these La Cordeline labels, made of slate and wood, withstand heat and weather well. They can therefore be reused many times. This one measures 54cm in height, including the wooden planting stake. The rectangular black slate surrounded by natural wood measures 20cm wide by 14cm high. The inscriptions can be made using a chalk pen before placement. It is then simply a matter of inserting the label in the garden soil, pot, greenhouse or vegetable patch, close to the plant you wish to name.
Labels are very useful accessories that every gardener will appreciate. In the vegetable patch, it is essential to identify lettuce, radish or carrot seedlings, as well as varieties of melons or squash. In the ornamental garden, some perennials or bulbs disappear underground for a good part of the year and may be damaged under the unfortunate blow of a spade or pickaxe if they have not been marked. The collector of irises or grasses will appreciate being able to remember the names of the beautiful varieties he has planted. Labels can help the enthusiast of rare plants for which there is no common name by recording their geographical origin, the date of planting, or even the nursery that provided them. Finally, naming a plant is an excellent way to awaken children's interest in nature, in all its diversity.
