Description

The My Country Garden Meadow Flower Mix brings together no fewer than 37 species of robust and charming annual flowers, in harmonious pastel tones, whose flowering spans throughout the summer. Over the course of a few months, this ensemble creates a changing tableau, animated by the flight of pollinating insects. Sown in spring in well-prepared soil, the 'My Country Garden' mix allows for the easy creation of a low-maintenance, water-saving flower bed that will delight the gardener while preserving biodiversity.

All of the flowers in this mix bloom a few weeks after sowing and may naturalise through spontaneous self-sowing in the garden, in regular, lightened soil. The plants vary in height from 40 to 90 cm (15.7 to 35.4 in).

Partial composition: Cosmos bipinnatus, Echium plantagineum, Gilia leptantha, Zinnia dahlia, etc.

Meadow flowers are very trendy. Very easy to grow, they bloom throughout the entire summer season while requiring very little maintenance. Ideal for adding a touch of bucolic softness to a slightly wild and sunny area, whether in a flower bed or meadow, the My Country Garden mix offers flowers that are often nectariferous or melliferous, providing a significant source of food for pollinating insects. Invite nature into your garden: sow our flower mixes along pathways, in a slightly neglected area of the garden, on the bank of a sunken path, or in the back of the garden at the border with the countryside.

Planting and care

Sowing:

Sow directly in place, from March to early June, once the soil has warmed up, in well-dug and worked soil that has been cleared of weeds and raked. Sow finely on the surface of the soil and lightly rake to cover the seeds. Alternatively, sow at a depth of 1.5 mm (0.1 in) in furrows spaced 30 cm (11.8 in) apart. Germination normally takes 14 to 21 days.

Cultivation:

When the young plants appear, water well and remove weeds. Then water once or twice a week for 6 weeks, keeping the soil slightly moist. In autumn, at the end of flowering and after collecting seeds, they can be sown in place after cleaning the area. Water well to make the seeds adhere to the soil.
