Nothing germinated. Big disappointment. The other seed mixes worked well, so it's not my fault.

Description

This Summer Cut Flower Mix is a medley of colourful summer-flowering annual plants. Easy to grow in regular soil and requiring very little maintenance, they can be sown directly in place, in the sun, in well-prepared soil. Wildflowers and florist flowers mingle in a large, colourful meadow, which will transition from the garden to the house in stunning natural arrangements. Sow from April to June, they will flower all summer and some of them will self-seed wherever they please.

This selection consists of 18 varieties of annual flowers that will bloom from July to September-October. Among them, you will find Zinnia with its single or double daisy-like flowers, the festive marigold Calendula officinalis, a mix of Cosmos in various shades, the variegated annual centaurea, multicoloured godetias, and the Gypsophila elegans with its small white flowers. All these plants exhibit rapid growth and easily naturalise through spontaneous seeding in ordinary, well-draining soil. The plants range in height from 60 to 80cm (24 to 32in). 100 grams of seeds will cover approximately 25 m² of ground.

Flower meadows have become very popular. This beautiful alternative to a lawn blooms throughout the entire summer season while requiring little maintenance. Ideal for adding a touch of elegance to a slightly wild and sunny area of the garden, whether in a bed or a meadow, this Summer Cut Flower Mix is sown in the spring, in well-prepared soil. The flowers in this mix are often nectar-rich or honey-producing, providing a significant source of food for pollinating insects. Invite nature into your garden: sow our flower mixes alongside pathways, on a slope along a sunken path, near the vegetable garden or orchard, or at the back of a garden bordering the countryside.

Planting and care

Sowing:

Sow directly in place from April to early June, once the soil has warmed up, in well-prepared soil, cleared of weeds and raked. Sow finely on the surface of the soil and lightly rake to cover the seeds. Alternatively, sow at a depth of 1.5 mm (0in) in furrows spaced 30 cm (12in) apart. Germination normally takes 14 to 21 days.

Cultivation:
When the young plants appear, water well and remove weeds. In autumn, at the end of flowering and after collecting seeds, they can be sown in place, after cleaning the area. Water well to make the seeds adhere to the soil.
