Description
Baby blue eyes nemophila is an annual ground cover plant with a multitude of small sky-blue flowers with white centres.
This fast-growing annual elegantly dresses up borders and moist rockeries, and makes a good ground cover. It is one of the few annuals that tolerate both partial shade and full sun. It is compact, not exceeding 20cm (8in) high.
It is easy to grow and the seeds can be sown directly in the ground or pots.
Cats like its scent and regularly come to roll in tufts of nemophila.

Planting and care
Sow the seeds of Nemophila menziesii, baby blue eyes, directly into the soil at a depth of 0.5 cm (0in), in warm and moist soil, from March to June. Thin out in stages to 20 cm (8in) intervals. Germination takes 10 to 15 days. Water regularly to keep the soil moist. Autumn sowing is also possible.
