Description

Linum grandiflorum Charmer Salmon, also known as Flax with large flowers, produces a mass of salmon pink flowers with a deep red centre in the summer. It is a delicate annual plant that moves in the wind.

 

Annual Flax Charmer Salmon has cup-shaped flowers that reach 2 to 4 cm (1 to 2in) in diameter, with a unique salmon pink colour and a deep red centre. Its green deciduous leaves measure up to 3 cm (1in) long and are lanceolate in shape. It grows up to 50 cm (20in) high.

Linum grandiflorum Charmer Salmon originates from North Africa. It can be planted in borders, planters, or even meadows. It can be paired with mallow and oxeye daisies.

Planting and care

Sow Linum Charmer Salmon seeds where they are to flower, on the edge of a flower bed or in a rockery from March (in warmer regions) to May (in colder regions). It thrives in full sun. Sow on fine, light, well-drained and low-fertility soil from March to May to flower from June to September. It is very easy to grow.
