Beautiful plant. I received it on Saturday. Planted it right away because it was a bit dry, but it has already recovered well.

Description

A collection of 3 scented geraniums, also known as Pelargonium of scents Angel's Perfume, Mosquitaway Eva, and Mosquitaway Lizzy. These varieties combine prolific and brightly colored flowering with pleasantly aromatic foliage that mosquitoes don't like. Their bushy and upright habit is ideal for flowering pots, providing a permanent decoration outdoors or in the conservatory.

It consists of:

1 x Pelargonium (x) domesticum Angel's Perfume

1 x Pelargonium (x) domesticum Mosquitaway Eva

1 x Pelargonium (x) domesticum Mosquitaway Lizzy

Florist geraniums are perennial hybrids of the geranium family, in a large group called Pelargonium x domesticum. They are mostly derived from Pelargonium cucullatum, native to the southwest of the Cape Province in South Africa, with the contribution of different wild species. The foliage of these geraniums persists in the conservatory or in very mild climates.

All the plants in this collection grow in a compact and upright clump of about 35 cm (14in) in all directions on average. They also offer a long and abundant summer to autumn flowering, a quality that is generally lacking in aromatic-leaved geraniums. The Angel's Perfume geranium produces a mass of single flowers, composed of two velvety dark red upper petals and three pale pink lower petals splashed with burgundy-red. The Pelargonium 'Mosquitaway Eva', each flower is composed of two velvety upper petals speckled with purple and three very pale pink lower petals.

The succulent stems bear small lobed and strongly dentate leaves, quite thick, deeply veined, with wavy edges, in a medium green color. Their scent resembles that of lemon, with a slight floral note in Angel's Perfume.

Florist geraniums create lasting and cheerful displays throughout the summer season. They prefer semi-shaded exposures and coolness. These plants tolerate a lack of light quite well, which allows them to be combined with hostas, ferns, New Guinea impatiens, lobelias with incredible blues, or begonias. Create magnificent pots and hanging baskets by combining colors and foliage, whether solid or variegated. They can be magnificent specimens in a conservatory or in the house, all year round, especially when flowering is scarce in winter.

Note: Please be aware that our plug plants are professional products intended for experienced gardeners: upon receipt, transplant and store them under cover (conservatory, greenhouse, cold frame) at a temperature above 14°C (57.2°F) for a few weeks before being installed outdoors once the risk of frost has passed.

Planting and care

The florist's geraniums thrive in fertile, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soils, well-tilled, in the sun and partial shade. Geraniums are greedy plants that require regular fertilizer inputs to give their best of waters. You can plant pelargoniums from March-April in mild climate regions, but you will need to bring them indoors in case of frost. To avoid any risks, wait until the end of frost before placing them outside, usually around May in the North. When planting in pots or containers, use special geranium compost. In the garden, wait until the end of April or even mid-May in the northernmost regions to plant them in open ground and provide a special geranium growing support to your soil.
