Description
The Arrhenaterum bulbosum Variegatum is a small bulbous grass that prefers well-drained soil and has beautiful green foliage with wide white variegation.
This plant has a bulbous base and forms loose clumps. Its deciduous, linear foliage is bluish-green with pure white variegation. Its long brown flowers are not particularly decorative, and the foliage deteriorates at the end of flowering, leading to a vegetative rest period.
Easy to grow, the variegated arrhenaterum thrives in sunny locations and prefers well-drained, sandy or rocky, poor soil. Plant it in rock gardens, on slopes, in dry flowerbeds, alongside wild-looking plants such as yarrow, catmint and skullcap.
