Pot arrived upside down, much less leafy than in the photograph on the website, only a few leaf rosettes... I hope it will sprout again in the spring.

Description

Anaphalis alpicola is an easy-to-grow perennial, naturally living in dry and poor soil. Also known as the Alpine Pearly Everlasting, its small white flowers are gathered in small bunches at the top of short upright stems during summer, on a low cushion of woolly grey foliage. The long-lasting flowers are rough to the touch and make beautiful dried bouquets.

Anaphalis alpicola has excellent adaptability and grows in the sun in any soil as long as it is not too wet. Ideal in a rock garden or trough, it grows alongside small sedums or it can be paired with Campanula poscharskyana and Iberis on a rocky slope. They tolerate shade but will lose their graceful, compact habit.
