Planted last autumn, it started flowering in early May, just before my classic lily of the valley. Lovely little flowering, quite consistent with the pictures.

Description

Convallaria majalis var. rosea is the pink form of Lily of the Valley.

 

Known for its bell-shaped flowers and legendary fragrance, this variety is the pink form of Lily of the Valley. Blooming from April to May with small pale pink bell-shaped fragrant flowers 20-25cm (8-10in) high.

Very hardy and easy to grow, it thrives in sun or shade but requires light soil and moisture to bloom and spread abundantly.

 

Plant it on the edge of woodlands, in borders or near a pathway to enjoy its fragrance. Combine it with perennial bleeding hearts or ophiopogons.
