This young plant should be in every garden. It is magnificent, covered in flowers for months. Pendulous, it has survived the winter very well for a second sumptuous flowering. It resembles a yellow flower. I highly recommend it.

Description

Coreopsis 'Full Moon Madness' forms a beautiful bushy clump and offers abundant and long flowering. From June to October, its creamy yellow heads are carried by branched stems above a fine, dark green, highly decorative foliage. The full moon invites itself into the sunny garden!

This Coreopsis 'Full Moon Madness' is a herbaceous perennial, measuring 60cm (24in) in height with a spread of 50cm (20in). This hybrid forms a dense and bushy clump, with linear, delicate, dark green foliage, finely cut, and highly decorative. It offers a long and generous flowering period. From June to October, heads, measuring 3cm (1in) in diameter, of a beautiful very bright creamy yellow colour, are carried by very branched, flexible stems.

This superb variety, hardy and very easy to grow, thrives in the sun, in fertile to ordinary, moist to wet, but well-drained soil. This Coreopsis will be most effective in the border of flower beds, mixed borders, rockeries. It will be the ideal companion for perennial plants, shrub roses, and grasses. It can be associated with shrubby salvias, paniculate phlox, gauras, asters, and knautias. Planted in a pot on the terrace, the spectacle of its flowering will be unparalleled! Its flowers will make splendid bouquets.

Planting and care

The 'Full Moon Madness' Coreopsis is a very easy to grow plant, vigorous and very hardy. It appreciates being placed in a sunny position, in soil that is fairly rich, even limestone, well-drained, especially in winter. Not tolerating heavy and waterlogged soils, if this is the case, it will be necessary to lighten the soil by adding sand and gravel. It is drought tolerant once well established but prefers constantly moist soils.
