Description

Geum 'Flames of Passion' is a new variety of wood avens with a very compact habit. It bears a multitude of raspberry-pink flowers slightly tinged with carmine-red.

In bloom from May onwards, it stops flowering in summer and blooms again in early autumn, provided that all faded flowers are cut.

Highly resistant to cold, 'Flames of Passion' is not afraid of sunlight or lack of water in summer, but it dreads heavy waterlogged soils, especially in winter.

Very sturdy, it will be perfect at the edge of a flower bed and pairs perfectly with Heuchera 'Caramel' and H. 'Berry Smoothie'. Plant it with Buchanan's Sedge for a harmonious effect.

Geums have a short life-span but they are highly appreciated in the garden as they provide vibrant flowers for a long period of time.
