Planting and care

Heuchera, Tiarella, Mitella, Tolmiaea, Tellima... are all perennial plants, very similar to each other, all native to North America and all endowed with excellent hardiness. Heuchera, in particular, likes moist soil, rich in humus, in shade or partial shade. They do not like dry and poor soils, even if they will tolerate temporary summer drought. They are irreplaceable in the borders of woodlands where their often evergreen foliage and small size work well in the foreground.
