Heuchera Timeless Treasure

Heuchera Timeless Treasure is a small deciduous perennial plant highly valued for its shimmering foliage. This plant forms a low ground cover with tin-coloured foliage with silvery reflections crossed by dark purple to deep purple veins. In summer, this bright vegetation is adorned with a profuse bright pink flowering constantly renewed, carried on dark red stems, for contrast. This very floriferous variety thrives in partial or full shade. In hot climates, make sure to provide shade during the hottest hours and all afternoon. It hates drought. In the garden, it forms a remarkable ground cover and like all heucheras, it is a fantastic plant for terraces and balconies.

Heuchera Timeless Treasure belongs to the Saxifragaceae family. The plant will reach 25 cm in height (for the foliage) and 35-40 cm in width in 4 to 5 years. This Heuchera forms a pretty spreading cushion-like clump. Its evergreen foliage is the major asset of this plant with wavy, shiny leaves, of a fairly muted but bright colour. The generous, light and airy flowering takes place from June to August. The bright pink bell-shaped flowers are arranged along a slender dark red stem. This plant has a shallow root system.

Heuchera Timeless Treasure is an excellent ground cover for shaded areas, especially in perennial borders. Its foliage remains decorative all year round and its flowering brings a touch of lightness to any landscaping. Pair it with the blue blooms of forget-me-nots, Siberian bugloss, bugles, columbines or bellflowers, as well as the lush foliage of hostas, away from direct sunlight. It grows well in a pot, alongside grasses like Carex testacea and Agropyron magellanicum. In a shaded rockery, it pairs perfectly with small ferns such as Adiantum pedatum, or the marbled foliage of Asarum splendens. Planted en masse, it creates a magnificent ground cover along an east-facing passage.
