I still don't see anything, but I have seen it in the past and it was magnificent. I suppose the rains of the past few months have taken their toll on it.

Description

A very beautiful hybrid with a trailing habit, Origanum rotundifolium 'Kent Beauty' produces a mass of bell-shaped inflorescences formed by bracts and pink flowers of unparalleled charm.

Perennial in well-draining soil, this ornamental oregano or marjoram possesses the same aromatic and culinary qualities as its counterparts.

Very decorative, the rounded leaves are grey-blue in colour and emit a pleasant fragrance when crushed.

Carried at the end of the branches, the pompom inflorescences are formed by magnificent bracts of cream-green colour gradually becoming deep pink. As they bloom, the bracts reveal small tubular, pink-purple flowers that are very intense. Flowering from July to October, Origanum 'Kent Beauty' spreads very slowly, therefore it is not invasive.

Very hardy, the ornamental oregano grows in well-drained and poor soil, it loves the sun and tolerates partial shade, especially in regions with hot summers.

A true ornamental gem, its trailing habit will be highlighted when planted on a raised rockery, a wall edge, or in a pot. Combine it with soft and light foliage such as sedums, gypsophilas, Stipa tenuifolia, and Erigeron karvinskianus.
