Description

Potentilla Yellow Queen is a perennial variety, with bright yellow, semi-double flowers measuring 2 to 3 cm (1 in) in diameter. They stand out distinctly against its lovely green foliage that is reminiscent of a strawberry plant.

It is ideal for creating a colourful mass in a flower bed.

Its abundant and long-lasting flowering period, from June to August, as well as its robustness, make it suitable for low hedges, flower beds, or mixed borders.

With a compact habit, it requires no maintenance.

Planting and care

Plant Potentilla Yellow Queen in a perfectly sunny location in well-drained neutral to limestone soil, or even rocky soil. It is perfectly hardy and tolerates frost as well as drought, but will bloom more abundantly if the soil retains some moisture. You can cut back the stems after flowering, and prune it in spring, in March or April.
