Description

Phlox paniculata Lilac Times is a tall perennial, 90cm (35in) in height, very floriferous, with delicately scented summer flowering which is lilac-violet, .

Originating from the United States, this plant has deciduous dark green lanceolate leaves with veins, measuring 5 to 13cm (2 to 5in) in length. In July, numerous upright stems bear large terminal paniculate flowers with lilac violet corollas, 20cm (8in) long and fragrant.

Phlox paniculata Lilac Times thrives in damp, humus-rich, well-drained, non-calcareous soil and in full sun. Add compost during planting and mulch the soil to retain moisture.

This Phlox is used in rock gardens or borders in combination with delphiniums, perennial geraniums, or even roses.
