Description
Sedum or Stonecrop Frosty Morn has large dome-shaped flowers which are a soft pink colour, but can be almost white depending on the weather.
This new cultivar from Japan is an autumn Sedum. It has thick deciduous foliage in a grey-silver colour with white edges. The perennial can reach a height of 50 cm (20in) at maturity. It is a very hardy and robust Sedum.
Being melliferous, butterflies love it. Sedum Frosty Morn is an ideal groundcover for flower beds, rock gardens, and borders. Its flowers can be cut for fresh or dried bouquets. Pair it with hybrid anemone, late-flowering asters, Plumbago, catmint, or Penstemon.

Planting and care
Sedum Frosty Morn thrives in full sun, even scorching sun; it tolerates drought. Plant it in ordinary soil, with low to poor fertility, rather dry and well-drained. It is a low-maintenance plant. For planting, prepare a hole 30 cm (12in) wide and deep, and keep it at a distance of 50 cm (20in) from other plants. Do not water much. In late winter, cut the previous year's stems to make room for new shoots and maintain a compact shape. Sedum does not tolerate waterlogging well.
