I was more than surprised to receive a bucket without any visible plant, along with a note saying that the plant would grow soon!! I hope so, because it was a gift and it didn't make a good impression! I believe it would be beneficial to specify this in the description because even in the photo, you can see something that has grown. I will think twice before ordering again. I would have preferred it to be clear, even if it meant waiting before ordering.

Description
Virginia Blue Speedwell 'Temptation' or Veronicastrum virginicum is a medium-sized, elegant and slender perennial. Its delicate silhouette easily fits in between summer plants and brings a sense of lightness, thanks to its long flowering spikes swaying in the wind. They are covered in numerous small flowers from June onwards. These flowers are pink in bud and blue when open, offering a beautiful range of hues and attracting many insects. This hardy plant prefers moist soils, even waterlogged ones, and semi-shaded positions.
Native to the plains of the United States, the Virginia Blue Speedwell can be found in the wild in any waterlogged areas: flood meadows, ditch banks, forest edges, etc. It doesn't mind cold or shade, so thrives in locations that may seem inhospitable. It is attractive and floriferous in these conditions. This herbaceous perennial is easily recognised by its long stems (up to 1m (3ft) or more depending on the soil). The deciduous leaves are long and lanceolate, arranged in whorls around the stem. The floral spike at the top of the stem is long (20cm (8in)) and composed of numerous small flowers, sometimes surrounded by a few smaller spikes. It flowers from the bottom up, revealing different shades of blue and pink in 'Temptation', from lilac to lavender blue, and sometimes even close to indigo. Depending on the climate, it can flower from June to September, attracting many pollinators.
Veronicastrum virginicum does not spread and maintains its upright habit, which is valuable in the back of borders. 'Temptation' can be planted with Foxgloves in the shade of tall trees, or behind Japanese Primroses and Siberian Irises near a pond. It requires minimal maintenance, just water when its really hot.

Veronicastrum virginicum 'Temptation' is best planted in spring or autumn in deep, rich, and neutral, moist to wet soil. It prefers partial shade and only tolerates full sun if the soil remains moist.
It dislikes drought and scorching sun and doesn't like to be moved.
