Many thanks to the people who prepared and dispatched my order. The rose bush I received seems healthy. Planted at the foot of a wall, I'm now patiently waiting for it to take... (or not?)

Description
The 'Peach Melba' Climbing Rose offers a new choice in climbing roses. Not very tall but vigorous, it is suitable for small gardens and container cultivation. Its vegetation, of a beautiful dark green, is covered with bouquets of delightful double roses, in a delicious gradient of orange and pink, truly bright. This variety stands out for its disease resistance, hardiness, and excellent floribundity, which have earned it the prestigious and demanding ADR label awarded in Germany to excellent varieties. Worth discovering!
The 'Peach Melba' climbing rose or 'KORmelpea' is part of the Climbing Max series, a line of climbing roses developed in Germany by Kordes. These versatile varieties are at their best when most of the long shoots are horizontally trained. They reach a height of 2m (7ft) and are superb on trellises, fences, walls, arches, or obelisks. When left free and planted in groups of 3, these roses form sumptuous pyramids.
The 'Peach Melba' Rose is part of the complex family of cluster-flowered roses. It is a 2018 creation that has been awarded in international competitions. It is a climbing rose with a flexible habit and thorny stems, reaching a height of 2m (7ft) with an 80cm (32in) spread, depending on the growing conditions. Its deciduous foliage, of very dark green, is particularly healthy and perfectly enhances the colour of the flowers. These roses, measuring 7 to 8cm (3in) in diameter, are full of petals. Their colour ranges from creamy yellow to soft orange, salmon pink, and rose. It blooms abundantly from May to June to October, provided it does not lack water. Its roses are grouped in bouquets of 5 to 10 units. They have a light fragrance.
The 'Peach Melba' rose can be trained as a climber or grown as a bush, depending on the preferences of each gardener. It allows for splendid decorations throughout the summer period and requires very little maintenance, except for regular watering in summer during periods of high heat and prolonged drought. Pair it with another small climbing rose with white flowers, for example, Alaska or Opalia climbing, or combine it with easy-to-grow large-flowered clematis such as 'Etoile Violette' or 'Blue River'.

Planting and care
From November to March, the 'Peach Melba' rose should be planted in ordinary, well-prepared and well-drained soil. Roses prefer clay soils rather than light soils. In soil that is too sandy, too compact or too dry in summer, it is preferable to incorporate compost or well-rotted manure at the bottom of the planting hole. However, this rose is sensitive to waterlogged soils in winter. Place it in a sunny position or, at most, in partial shade. Roses are hungry plants, so a specific dose of fertiliser will be beneficial at the start of the vegetation and regularly throughout the flowering period. To encourage reblooming, regularly remove faded flowers. Floribunda roses are more vigorous and more floriferous than large-flowered roses. Therefore, prune the stems to about a quarter of their length (from 4 to 6 buds from the base of the stem) at the end of winter. Always prune above an outward-facing bud so that the bush can bush out and the branches do not tangle in the centre of the branches.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
The flowering period indicated on our website applies to countries and regions located in USDA zone 8 (France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, etc.)
It will vary according to where you live:- In zones 9 to 10 (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), flowering will occur about 2 to 4 weeks earlier.
- In zones 6 to 7 (Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and lower mountainous regions), flowering will be delayed by 2 to 3 weeks.
- In zone 5 (Central Europe, Scandinavia), blooming will be delayed by 3 to 5 weeks.
In temperate climates, pruning of spring-flowering shrubs (forsythia, spireas, etc.) should be done just after flowering.
Pruning of summer-flowering shrubs (Indian Lilac, Perovskia, etc.) can be done in winter or spring.
In cold regions as well as with frost-sensitive plants, avoid pruning too early when severe frosts may still occur.
The planting period indicated on our website applies to countries and regions located in USDA zone 8 (France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands).
It will vary according to where you live:
- In Mediterranean zones (Marseille, Madrid, Milan, etc.), autumn and winter are the best planting periods.
- In continental zones (Strasbourg, Munich, Vienna, etc.), delay planting by 2 to 3 weeks in spring and bring it forward by 2 to 4 weeks in autumn.
- In mountainous regions (the Alps, Pyrenees, Carpathians, etc.), it is best to plant in late spring (May-June) or late summer (August-September).
The harvesting period indicated on our website applies to countries and regions in USDA zone 8 (France, England, Ireland, the Netherlands).
In colder areas (Scandinavia, Poland, Austria...) fruit and vegetable harvests are likely to be delayed by 3-4 weeks.
In warmer areas (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), harvesting will probably take place earlier, depending on weather conditions.
The sowing periods indicated on our website apply to countries and regions within USDA Zone 8 (France, UK, Ireland, Netherlands).
In colder areas (Scandinavia, Poland, Austria...), delay any outdoor sowing by 3-4 weeks, or sow under glass.
In warmer climes (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), bring outdoor sowing forward by a few weeks.
