Unfortunately, the packaging leaves something to be desired, like three quarters of the time... As a result, all the branches were broken and there were buds. The boxes were soaked and in tatters. I had ordered three roses, same for all three, a real "gloubiboulga" like in Casimir for those who remember. This was my last order with you, from now on I will prioritize quality by going to the rose grower xxxxx xxxx, their roses are very beautiful and the packaging is truly top-notch. You will lose customers by not listening to the advice we give you.

Description

The 'Boreale' bush rose is an delightful hybrid of tea rose, whose roses, with their shades of cream and pink, irresistibly catch the eye, both in the garden and in bouquets. They bloom until autumn on a vigorous yet compact bush, perfectly complemented by beautiful glossy foliage resistant to diseases. This rose, a marvel of elegance and freshness, has its rightful place in romantic compositions.

The 'Boreale' or 'Tan03025' rose was obtained in 2003 by the German rose breeder Tantau. It belongs to the tea rose hybrids, recognizable by the beautiful turbinated shape of their flowers. However, its flowers open like old-fashioned roses, with petals arranged in quarters. It forms a small upright bush, 70-80 cm (28-32in) in height and 50 cm (20in) in width. The flowering starts in June and continues until October if the soil remains slightly moist. Its flowers are fully double, 10 to 12 cm (4 to 5in) wide, composed of 55 to 60 tightly packed petals. They are mostly cream-white, but the heart of the flower is pink, and the outer petals have a carmine pink edge. They emit a light fragrance with hints of wild rose and spices. The branches, robust and adorned with prickles, bear healthy foliage with large, slightly glossy leaflets, dentate along the edges and dark green. It has excellent disease resistance. The flowers are solitary, carried by very sturdy long stems. The deciduous foliage falls in autumn.

This 'Boreale' bush rose is planted in groups of three, in a prominent position in a small romantic bed or paired with other low-growing shrubs. Not very tall, it also adapts well to container cultivation. To accompany it, choose perennial plants with light flowering (autumn asters, foxgloves, penstemons), Rozanne geraniums or Pink Penny, Nepeta Walker's Low, or even blue or white campanulas. Its flowers make beautiful bouquets in the company of Chinese peonies and lilacs.

Planting and care

Planting your 'Boreale' rose requires some preparation. Begin by working the soil to a depth of 40 cubic cm and adding a base amendment like blood, fish, and bone to the bottom of the planting hole. Remove the plant from its pot and position it by covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil. Refill the hole and water generously to eliminate any air pockets. It's essential to water the rose regularly for a few weeks during dry weather to help the roots grow. Use a special rose fertiliser that stimulates plant flowering. Choose a sunny location or partial shade in hot regions to plant your rose.

Roses may develop unsightly spots at the end of summer, but this is a natural occurrence and doesn't harm the rose's growth.
