Thank you to the team (for order preparation and shipping), the rose bush I received looks healthy. Planted close to varieties such as "Vittel (alias "Roter Korsar")", "Rose de Perouges", "Starlet-Rose Natalie", "Everglow Ruby", "Ruby Ruby" and others, I am now patiently waiting for it to thrive... or not?

Description

The Rosy Boom 'La Belle Rouge' Bush Rose is a bush rose from the Rosy Boom range, which produces very floriferous, undemanding and easy-to-grow roses, with a natural wild rose appearance. This selection develops from June to September, small fragrant cup-shaped flowers in red colour, with a slightly white-pink centre and yellow stamens, grouped in panicles of flowers reminiscent of hydrangea blooms. Hardy, healthy and compact, this rose is easily pruned once a year, and its flowers are not afraid of rain. It forms an upright bush with a flexible habit that can be planted in flower beds, small flowering hedges, or pots.

The Rosy Boom 'La Belle Rouge' Bush Rose has a very flexible bushy habit, reaching an average height of 1.30 m (4ft) and a width of 55 cm (22in) at maturity, which allows it to fit into small spaces. Its flowering is particularly abundant and regular from June to September, provided the soil remains moist. Its small and 4 cm (2in) wide roses are gathered in generous panicles. They are slightly flattened, cup-shaped, in intense red color. The stems are adorned with deciduous foliage, very healthy, divided into leaflets of medium green colour with a satin finish. The bush has a medium growth.

Landscape roses allow beautiful small hedges to be planted at the edge of the terrace or in flower beds with small-sized shrubs. Combine them with abelias, nandinas, deciduous ceanothus, pink or blue ceanothus, or caryopteris. They are good companions for peonies, phlox and tall baby's breath. The modest size of Rosy Boom La Belle Rouge allows it to find its place in all gardens, even small ones. Its uses are varied, according to the desires of each gardener: in a rose bed, accompanied by pink, red or purple varieties, such as Rhapsody in Blue, or mixed with easy-to-grow plants like perennial geraniums Rozanne, small-flowered carnations, intensely blue salvias or lavenders, or pink and blue asters.

Planting and care

The Rose Rosy Boom Rouge 'La Belle Rouge' is not demanding; it thrives in all regions that are not too hot and is not afraid of diseases, cold or rain. Plant it in well-worked and well-drained ordinary soil and in a sunny or semi-shaded position, which it tolerates very well. Perfectly hardy, this rose can withstand temperatures as low as -20°.

Planting your rose requires some preparation. Begin by working the soil to a depth of 25 cubic cm and adding a base amendment like blood, fish, and bone to the bottom of the planting hole. Remove the plant from its pot and position it by covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil. Refill the hole and water generously to eliminate any air pockets. It's essential to water the rose regularly for a few weeks during dry weather to help the roots grow. Use a special rose fertiliser that stimulates plant flowering. Choose a sunny location or partial shade to plant your rose in hot regions.

Roses may develop unsightly spots at the end of summer, but this is a natural occurrence and doesn't harm the rose's growth.
