Description
Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Worcester Gold', also known as Bluebeard or Blue Spirea, is a beautiful shrub with a late season lavender-blue flowering that contrasts with its golden foliage.

This small, hardy, Asian bush, 1m (3ft) tall, has a compact habit. Its deciduous, opposite, simple, lanceolate, golden foliage contrasts perfectly with its blue flowering. In August, it produces beautiful clusters of small tubular flowers with long stamens. The flowers are lavender-blue and nectar-rich, and last until early autumn.
Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Worcester Gold' is perfect in flower beds with perennials. Consider planting it with white or yellow potentillas or perpetual roses.

Planting and care
Plant in spring in rich, deep and well-drained soil in full sun and sheltered from winds. The only maintenance tasks are mulching in winter, fertiliser application, and a very short pruning in March.
