Description

Erica x darleyensis Spring Surpise is a heather. This bush has a compact and upright habit. With a late and long flowering period, it blooms from March to May, allowing heather beds to stay in bloom for a longer time. Its numerous small flowers are a deep pink, gathered in clusters that are 3 to 10 cm (1.2 to 3.9 in) long.

The growth of this Erica is vigorous. The foliage is evergreen and bronze-green, composed of lanceolate leaves. Native to temperate areas of Europe, central South Africa, and western Asia, Spring Surprise can reach a height of 30 to 45 cm (11.8 to 17.7 in).

Erica x darleyensis is an excellent ground cover and can be grown in urban and rural areas. Counted among the best garden plants, you can place it as a solitary plant or in heather gardens and beds. This heather is a nectar-rich plant.
