Description

Potentilla fruticosa Princess Pink Queen is a shrub with pink flowers measuring 3 to 4 cm (1 to 2in). They stand out clearly against its pretty dark green foliage resembling a strawberry.

It is ideal for creating a colourful splash in a flowerbed.

Its abundant and long-lasting flowers, from June to September, and its hardiness are appreciated in a low hedge, flowerbed or mixed border.

With a compact habit, it requires no maintenance.

Planting and care

Plant Potentilla fruticosa Princess Pink Queen in a perfectly sunny location in neutral to limestone soil, even rocky, well-drained soil. It is perfectly hardy and tolerates frost as well as drought, but will flower more abundantly if the soil retains some moisture. You can cut back the stems after flowering, and prune it in spring, in March or April.
