Spanish Beans or Scarlet Beans Phasoleus coccineus – are grown in vegetable gardens for their pods or seeds, or in ornamental gardens for their  long clusters of scarlet flowers. The fruits then form long green pods with a delicious flavour when picked young and tender. They are best consumed in the manner of mangetout beans. It should be noted that Spanish Bean seeds need to be buried in order to germinate.

You'll love them!
