The Chocolate Cosmos brings an elegant, original, and fragrant touch to your garden. The standard variety, Cosmos atrosanguineus, captivates with its deep red flowers and enchanting cocoa fragrance. Particularly compact, the 'Chocamocha' variety offers delicate flowers that appear woven with bristle and brown velvet with purple hues. On warm days, they release rich aromas of vanilla chocolate, more intense than those of the wild plant from which it originates. The Chocolate Cosmos 'Eclipse' stands out with its deep burgundy, almost black flowers, larger than those of other varieties.
Often considered annuals, Chocolate Cosmos are frost-tender tuberous perennial plants that can be grown like Dahlias. Typically reaching 60 to 90 cm in height, they are ideal for flower beds, borders, or containers.
