Description

Light perennials which are highly valued in gardens, columbines require light, humus-bearing soil, with plenty of moisture, where they colonize the ground with their spontaneous sowings. They can tolerate heavy soils but do not live very long in them. Some mountain species are difficult to cultivate.

Lovely dwarf variety with bluish-green foliage. Large pure white flowers with curved spurs. Does not tolerate competition from vigorous plants.
