Young plant received quickly and in good condition, well packaged, healthy plant with beautiful roots." Analysis of the translated text: - The translation is accurate and conveys the same meaning as the original text. - The use of "young plant" and "root" in place of "plante" and "racines" respectively is appropriate and reflects the botanical context. - The use of "received quickly" instead of "reçue rapidement" is a more idiomatic expression in British English. - The use of "in good condition" instead of "en bon état" is a more common phrase in British English. - The use of "well packaged" instead of "bien emballée" is a more natural choice in British English. - The use of "healthy plant" instead of "plante saine" accurately conveys the same meaning. - The use of "beautiful roots" instead of "belles racines" is a suitable translation. - The overall tone and style of the text is maintained in the translation.

Description

The 'Laminuette' Rose Bush is a nearly fifty-year-old bush rose, difficult to find in the French horticultural trade. However, it is a highly appreciated variety in floristry, now available for the garden. It stands out with its original white-ivory colour marginated with cherry red to magenta pink, as well as its excellent vase life. The shape of this flower is perfect, double and turbinate, and its fragrance is light and subtle. The flowering extends from spring to autumn on a compact bush adorned with shiny foliage. Perfect for small spaces or the terrace.

The 'Laminuette' Rose Bush is an American creation by Dr. Walter E. Lammerts, dating back to 1969, derived from the famous 'Peace' rose by Meilland and 'Rumba'. This variety forms a compact bush in a few years, with thorny stems, 70 cm (28in) in height and a spread of 50 to 60 cm (20 to 24in). It is covered with foliage, emerging red, that turns shiny dark green in summer. Its flowering is abundant from June to September. Its corollas, 8 to 10 cm (3 to 4in) wide, are semi-double, composed of 25 petals, gathered in bouquets of 5 to 7 flowers with a perfect pattern. The tightly closed buds open into globular and turbinate flowers, gradually unfolding into fairly flat and open cups. The petals, bicoloured, on a white-ivory background, are widely bordered with magenta pink and edged with cherry red. Their fragrance is light.

Floribunda roses allow for beautiful small hedges, planted mixed along the edge of the terrace or in small shrub beds. Associate them with abelias, nandinas, or caryopteris, for example. They are good companions for panicle phlox and tall baby's breath. The modest size and beautiful appearance of 'Laminuette' make it an interesting variety for bouquets, of course, but also for all gardens, even small ones, and for growing in large pots. Its uses are diverse, according to each gardener's desires: in a rose bed or mixed with easy-care perennials like perennial geraniums, small-flowered carnations, or asters.

Planting and care

Plant this floribunda rose from November to March, in ordinary, well-loosened and free-draining soil. Roses prefer clayey soils, rather heavy than light. In soil that is too sandy, too compact or too dry in summer, it is preferable to bury compost, decomposed manure or leaf-mould at the bottom of the planting hole. However, this rose dreads waterlogged soils in winter. Place it in a sunny position, at most in partial shade. Roses are greedy plants, a specific rose fertiliser application will be beneficial when the foliage emerges, then regularly during the entire flowering period.

Care

Pruning instructions To encourage re-blooming, regularly remove faded flowers. Floribunda rose varieties are more vigorous and floriferous than large-flowered rose varieties. Therefore, the stems should be pruned to about a quarter of their length (4 to 6 buds from the base of the stem) at the end of winter. Always prune above an outward-facing bud, so that the bush thickens and the branches do not become tangled in the centre of the shrub.

Overwinter Can be left in the ground
