Thanks to the people (for order preparation and shipping), the bare-root rose I received looks healthy. Planted near the 'Crémet d'Anjou' variety, I am now patiently waiting for it to take root... or not?

The 'Baie des Anges'Â Rosebush is a modern variety with a vintage charm, remarkably romantic, highly floriferous, but with an iron-clad health. Its large, very double roses, in the shape of peonies, delicately blend cream-white and soft pink, retaining in their tightly packed petals a pleasant scent of old rose. It blooms generously from May to October, at the end of long and sturdy stems adorned with equally elegant, dark green and satin-like foliage. Whether planted in the ground, in a container, or immersed in a vase, its fleshy flowers are worthy of the grandest occasions!
While modern rosebushes are often criticized for their stiffness, artificial appearance, and weak disease resistance, the variety 'Baie des Anges' stands out for its excellent disease resistance, vigour, and the undeniable beauty of its delicately scented large roses. This Modern Hybrid Tea rose was registered in 2014 by the Italian rose breeder Barni, renowned for his creations that are both charming and full of whimsy. 'Baie des Anges' forms a compact bushy and upright shrub, with rapid growth. It will reach a height of approximately 80 cm (32in) with a spread of 50-60 cm (20-24in). From May-June to September-October, on a dense and healthy foliage of dark green satin, very beautiful old-style roses, measuring 10 to 12 cm (4 to 5in) in width, open up in clusters on long, sturdy, and thorny stems tinged with purple. The large, tightly packed buds shaded in soft pink bloom into very double roses, quartered and composed of numerous petals. They are almost white on the periphery, with the centre of the flower tinted cream, sometimes very pale pink. Their moderately intense fragrance recalls that of old roses.
This modern 'Baie des Anges' rosebush is a romantic, but also a plant that can be relied upon to beautifully adorn the garden or terrace throughout the summer. However, to fulfill its promises, it must not lack water or nutrients. It is also a stunning variety for cut flowers. This wonderful rosebush will easily find its place in a large rose bed, in association with red roses ('Eric Tabarly', 'Cherry Lady'), pink, white or mauve roses ('Blue Girl', 'Sissi etc.), or even as a solitary specimen in a well-maintained garden. It perfectly complements pretty and easy-to-grow perennials such as perennial geraniums (Geranium 'Blue Cloud', 'Anne Folkard', 'Nimbus', 'Orion'), bellflowers (lactiflora, rapunculoides), catmints, snapdragons, foxgloves, lupins, or even small shrubs like the rosebushes 'Astronomia', 'The Fairy', 'Marie Pavie', 'Gloire des Polyanthas', or 'Red Cascade' in a more classic spirit.

Botanical data
Plant this rose from November to March, in ordinary, well-loosened and free-draining soil. Roses prefer clayey soils, rather heavy than light. In soil that is too sandy, too compact or too dry in summer, it is preferable to bury compost, decomposed manure or leaf-mould at the bottom of the planting hole. However, this rose dreads waterlogged soils in winter. Place it in a sunny position, at most in partial shade. Roses are greedy plants, a specific rose fertiliser application will be beneficial when the foliage emerges, then regularly during the entire flowering period.Â
This 'Baie des Anges' rose should not lack food or water to fulfill its potential throughout the season.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
