Rosa x floribunda Urban Streetlight Rekord Pink Emely - Floribunda Rose

The Rekord Pink Emely Rose truly lives up to its name of 'pink pearl', with its generous flowering in large clusters of bright pink pompoms. Its semi-double roses blossom on its dense, very healthy foliage, where they succeed each other for 4 to 5 months. Its lovely habit, in the form of a regular ball, is particularly suitable for large borders and has a great effect as groundcover in front of taller shrubs.  Very hardy, truly easy to grow, floriferous and almost maintenance-free, this excellent landscape rose will delight all gardeners. 

The Pink Emely 'Korselary' Rose is a German creation by Kordes, rewarded in 2001 with the highly demanding German label A.D.R for its natural resistance to diseases, among other criteria. It is part of a series of roses, the 'Rekord' selected in partnership with 'Globe Planter' for their abundant flowering, hardiness, robustness and ease of maintenance. This 'Pink Emely' variety belongs to the family of floribunda roses with flowers grouped in clusters, and to the category of landscape roses due to its bushy, branched and compact habit. It quickly forms a superb cushion measuring about 60 cm (24in) in all directions, more if not pruned. Its thorny stems bear decorative foliage, which is fairly dark green, cut into small shiny leaflets finely toothed at the edges. Its flowering is abundant and continuous from June to October if the soil remains somewhat moist in summer. Its 7 cm (3in) wide flowers are semi-double and gathered in clusters of 10 to 20 flowers. The tightly closed buds open into fairly flat, regular cups, revealing at full bloom a beautiful golden yellow throat. Their colour is a light and bright fuchsia pink. The deciduous foliage falls in autumn.

The 'Pink Emely' rose adapts to all soils that are not too dry and to all climates, which allows it to be welcomed in many regions. With its lovely globular habit, it can be used as a border or groundcover. It can be planted en masse along a pathway or at the edge of a patio, alone or mixed with other landscape roses or groundcover roses of a different colour (white, pink, mauve). It can also be planted in groups of three plants, arranged in a triangle, to form a large flowering bush in the centre of a small flower bed. Blue perennial geraniums (Geranium Blue Cloud, Anne Folkard, Nimbus, Orion), nepetas, delphiniums, foxgloves, as well as perennial salvias are good companions for roses. This Pink Emely variety pairs perfectly with shrub roses in shades of purple, pink, mauve or white in a romantic garden.
