Description
The Hebe 'Emerald Green' is a small bush also known as Shrubby Veronica or Speedwell shrub, whose evergreen leaves will add greenery to your pots, rockeries, and sunny spaces all year round.
The Emerald Green Shrubby Veronica is a small compact and spreading bush. It reaches a height of 30cm (1 ft) with a spread of 40cm (1 ft 3 in). This plant is remarkable throughout the year thanks to its bright green evergreen leaves, in the form of flat spines, and develop along the axis of the stem. It produces rare white flowers in early summer.
The Speedwell Shrub prefers light, well-drained, and slightly moist soil. Plant it in a position sheltered from cold and dry winds. This small bush tolerates limestone. This variety thrives in full sun.

Planting and care
In gardens with a wet climate, the Hebe Emerald Green should be placed in a rockery or on a sloping bank. In the colder regions of Northern Europe it is necessary to protect these shrubs during winter or cultivate them in pots, bringing them indoors during periods of freezing weather. Avoid pruning this Shrubby Veronica; however it is advisable to remove any dead branches to preserve its compact habit.
