Graphite Pencil for Wooden Labels - Set of 2

This graphite pencil in an anthracite colour is particularly suitable for marking on wooden labels, whether they are made of pine, oak or bamboo.

This pencil is made of a painted wooden sheath surrounding a graphite core or "lead" of the same length, like a regular pencil. When the core is worn out, simply sharpen the wood to expose a new length of graphite, using a pencil sharpener.

Graphite is a blackish-coloured mineral, discovered in England in the 17th century. Mainly composed of carbon, graphite has a submetallic lustre, a dark grey anthracite colour, and a slightly greasy touch. It tends to penetrate the wood and is resistant to both moisture and sunlight, making it an excellent almost indelible marker when used on porous surfaces.
