Wildflower Mix Wet Meadows

This Wet Meadow Wildflower Mix contains seeds from 30 species of selected perennial wild plants chosen to establish themselves in wet areas and recreate a natural habitat. Along rivers, ponds, or any other water source, this technical mix, composed of tall and robust plants that flower in the summer, forms a wild meadow of plants ranging from 30 to 80 cm (12 to 32in) in height. It includes species such as Yarrow, Buttercups, Sedges, Campions, Meadowsweets, and many other plants. Sow from May to September in cultivated soil for flowering the following summer.

This mix includes: Achillea ptarmica, Ranunculus acris, Sedges, Lychnis flos-cuculi, Alisma plantago-aquatica, Filipendula ulmaria, Lythrum salicaria, Borago officinalis, Eupatorium cannabinum, rushes, Valeriana officinalis, Iris pseudoacorus, Symphytum officinalis, among others. All these perennial plants exhibit rapid growth and easily naturalise through propagation or spontaneous sowing in ordinary and well-drained soil. This meadow can be established in a private garden, as well as along a NTZ (Non-Treated Zone), to protect a water source from the drift of phytosanitary products, with a 5-metre (16 feet) wide strip of these perennial plants.

The Wet Meadow Wildflower Mix is a mix of specially adapted perennial plants for wet areas, in damp, marshy, or slightly submerged soil. It allows for the long-term presence of a natural habitat in these sometimes neglected areas, beneficial for the abundant fauna of wetlands, without the need for significant maintenance. Composed of 30 plants, it is a reservoir of genetic diversity. It is also a way to ensure a natural and poetic presence in a less visited or somewhat neglected location.
