Antirrhinum majus Dazzling Lips Mix

The Dazzling Lips® Antirrhinum Collection brings together three different snapdragon varieties that have in common the production of large, highly fragrant flowers on sturdy stems. The early and prolonged flowering of these snapdragons, reaching 55cm from the ground, is renewed from May-June to September-October, in successive waves. In addition to their ornamental qualities, these plants are attractive to pollinating insects. Although not very hardy, they are generous and easy to grow as annuals. Stunning in vases, beautiful in sunny borders, they also make a great impact in pots on the terrace or balcony.

The collection consists of:

1 plug plant of Antirrhinum majus Dazzling Lips® 'Lemon', with bright lemon yellow flowers, speckled with warmer yellow towards the throat.

1 plug plant of Antirrhinum majus Dazzling Lips® 'Red', with bright and uniform red corollas.

1 plug plant of Antirrhinum majus Dazzling Lips® 'Pink', with flowers displaying a fresh pink color that becomes almost white near the throat.

Snapdragons are accessible plants for all gardeners, easy to install in borders, flower beds, or rockeries. In northerly regions such as north of the Loire River and in heavy soil, treat them as annuals, which is of little importance considering their generosity. The 'Dazzling Lips' varieties are perfect for cut flowers, containers, borders, flower beds, or cottage gardens. They thrive in the sun, in fertile, well-drained soils, even limestone soils, that are well-prepared. In border beds, plant 5 plants per square metre. In pots, one plant per 30cm diameter pot.

Pair your 'Dazzling Lips' snapdragons with love-in-a-mist, easy to sow in place in spring or autumn, and valerian (Centranthus ruber). Their flower spikes are well highlighted when emerging among bushy plants with decorative foliage such as 'Silver Dust' cineraria, wormwood, lavender, and cotton lavender. Once the plant is established, you can regularly remove faded flowers to prolong its flowering.

Note: Please be aware that our young plug plants are professional products intended for experienced gardeners. Upon receipt, transplant and store them in a sheltered place (veranda, greenhouse, cold frame...) at a temperature above 14°C for a few weeks before being planted outdoors once the risk of frost has definitively passed.
