Very beautiful rose bush and yet I planted it at the end of May, it is already producing lots of very beautiful roses that resemble peonies and have a light fragrance. I think this is going to be one of my favorites and I will get more of them this autumn to plant along the border as the flowering is guaranteed." Analysis: - "rosier" is translated as "rose bush" to refer to the plant. - "pivoines" is translated as "peonies" to describe the appearance of the roses. - "parfum léger" is translated as "light fragrance" to describe the scent of the roses. - "préférés" is translated as "favorites" to express personal preference. - "en bordure" is translated as "along the border" to describe the planting location.

Description

Rose Generosa Chantal Baudron offers beautiful flowers for your gardens. From May to the first frost, the flowers, of medium size but with a well-filled shape, open in well-formed quarters. They are of a delightful light pink colour.

Its roses provide a delicate fragrance. Repeat flowering, the flowering is supported by a dark green glossy foliage. It has the particularity of being healthy and resistant to diseases like all Generosa roses. At ripeness, the Chantal Baudron variety can reach a height of 1.2m (4ft).

This rose has a very good hardiness. It is cultivated both in flower beds and as a solitary plant. Its flowers make beautiful bouquets.

This recent creation, 2010, bears the name of Chantal Baudron, a famous talent recruiter in the Fashion industry; owner of the Chateau de Veyrignac, she has restored its splendor to the gardens, now among the most beautiful in the region.

Planting and care

Roses prefer a sunny location (at least 4 to 5 hours of sun per day) but sheltered from the scorching midday rays and strong winds. Plant them from October to April. Easy to grow, roses appreciate loose, permeable, and humus-rich soils. They prefer a soil with a neutral pH but will adapt to any garden as long as the soil is well worked and sufficiently rich.

To plant your Chantal Baudron rose, work the soil to a depth of 25 cm (10in) by crumbling the earth and placing a base amendment such as bonemeal at the bottom of the planting hole. Position your plant, removed from its pot, covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil, fill in and water copiously to eliminate air pockets.

In dry weather, water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate root growth. Also, remember to provide your rose with special rose fertilizer that stimulates plant flowering. Prune its branches by one-third each spring.

Roses are often stained or unsightly at the end of summer, but this is not a problem for their development. These spots are not harmful to the rose; it is a natural phenomenon.
