Healthy rosebush delivered with chlorosis, all the leaves are yellow. This is not normal as I placed an order worth €176. I believe I am not a bad customer.

Description

The 'Bordure Rose' Dwarf Rose is one of the best varieties in the beautiful 'Bordures' series developed by Delbard. With a low, dense and rounded habit, adorned with a thousand small semi-double roses in a very fresh pink, it forms a true cushion of attractive flowers throughout the beautiful season. It has beautiful dark and glossy foliage, particularly healthy, which perfectly enhances its long flowering. Perfect as a border, in a flower bed or in a planter, alone or combined with other varieties, this generous little worry-free rose will fit anywhere.

The flowers of the 'Bordure Rose' Rose, gathered in small terminal clusters of 4 to 8 flowers, come from the polyantha rose, an old hybrid from Rosa multiflora and Rosa chinensis. It has a compact, bushy and regular habit, forming a large cushion shape, as wide as it is tall. It will not exceed 60 cm (24in) in all directions. The flowers, in small semi-double cups, well-formed in rosettes, emerge from buds in a very bright pink. They open up to a very pretty shade of pink, deeper in the centre of the flower, and lighter pink on the edges. They reveal, late, their yellow stamen-filled centre. They bloom in large numbers in pyramidal clusters, in May-June, more sporadically during the hottest months, and again in September. This vigorous variety is truly not very susceptible to diseases. It develops deciduous, shiny dark green foliage, carried by thorny stems. This rose has received 14 medals in national and international competitions.

The robust 'Bordure Rose' rose adapts to all soils that are not too dry and prefers fertile and deep soils. Its rounded and regular habit, with a neat appearance, works wonders in rockeries or on slopes where it will cover the ground. It can also be planted in groups of 3 plants, arranged in a triangle, or as a solitary plant on a lawn. Plant it en masse along paths or to highlight shrub beds. It will integrate perfectly with light or opulent perennial beds and can be combined with other dwarf roses such as 'Bordure Blanche', 'Bordure Nacrée', or 'Bordure Vive', according to each gardener's taste. For example, it can be paired with perennial geraniums (Geranium 'Blue Cloud', 'Anne Folkard', 'Nimbus', 'Orion', 'Rozanne'), bellflowers (lactiflora, rapunculoides), catmints, snapdragons, foxgloves, or carnations. It is naturally perfect for decorating the terrace or balcony, planted in a beautiful pot, large planter, or flower bed.

Created by Delbard (France) in 1993.

Planting and care

Rose bushes prefer a sunny location (at least 4 to 5 hours of sun per day) but sheltered from the scorching midday rays and strong winds. They appreciate loose, permeable, deep, and fertile soils. They prefer a neutral to slightly acidic soil, but will adapt to any garden as long as the ground is well worked and sufficiently rich. To plant your rose bush seedling, work the soil to a depth of 25 cubic centimetres, crumble the soil well, and place a bottom amendment such as dried blood or dehydrated horn in the planting hole. Position your plant, removed from its pot, covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil, backfill, and water generously to eliminate air pockets. In dry weather, regular watering is necessary for a few weeks to facilitate root establishment. Remember to also provide your rose bush with special rose fertiliser that stimulates flowering.
