Planting and care

Hydrangea arborescens requires planting in full sun or light shade, in a humus-bearing soil, even if it is not very fertile. During planting, place it in a deeply worked soil. A good base fertilizer (horn or dehydrated blood) will promote the growth of your plant and nourish it without risk of burning. The plant blooms continuously, so do not hesitate to regularly cut off the faded flowers during summer. Towards the end of summer, we recommend not to cut these flowers anymore, as the large dry umbels will protect the terminal shoots during winter. You can cut all these dry flowers at the end of February or during the first beautiful days of spring.
